Erin first discovered yoga in the summer of 2000 when she ventured into an Iyengar Yoga studio to try something new to compliment her then-favorite physical activity, running.  She had been practicing Zen Buddhist meditation for a few years and immediately loved the experience of a moving meditation.

After this first summer as a student of the Iyengar tradition, Erin continued to explore various yoga styles while delving more deeply into studying Eastern philosophies and religions.  Erin was drawn to Kripalu yoga after a few retreats at the Kripalu Center in Massachusetts, and this motivated her to take her practice to the next level with her 200 hr yoga teacher certification, which she completed in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2008.

Erin has been teaching yoga since then, with additional certifications in Yoga Nidra, Prenatal yoga, and Power Yin yoga.  Most recently, Erin participated in a 300 hr training with Rolf Gates in Indianapolis, which completed her RYT-500 instructor certification. Erin enjoys incorporating yogic philosophy, poetry, and various meditation techniques into her classes, which range from traditional vinyasa to teen yoga.

Off the mat, Erin teaches language arts and philosophy and enjoys running, reading, traveling, and hiking with her husband, kids, and dog.
