Do you want to learn more about the philosophy of yoga but don't know where to begin?

Have you been practicing for awhile and know there is more to this thing called "yoga?"

The Align Program by Aluma is designed for any yogi wishing to deepen their understanding of yoga through the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, a collection of ancient yogic texts that outline yoga as an eight-limbed path that act as guidelines on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. They are meant to bring the practitioner into a state of joy and connection to one’s soul.  The physical practice we do on our mats is actually the third limb of yoga.


The Yamas - First Limb

The yamas deal with how we conduct ourselves in life, and they explore nonviolence, truthfulness, non-stealing, moderation, and non-attachment.

The Niyamas - Second Limb

The niyamas relate to self-discipline and spirituality in the areas of purity, contentment, discipline, self-study, and devotion.

The Asanas - Third Limb

The asanas are the physical poses practiced in yoga, by which we use the body as a temple for the spirit.


Through our exploration of the first two limbs of yoga, The Align Program by Aluma will provide you with tools, discussion, and real-life applications to heal and transform your life. You will be able to apply this new insight immediately and evolve in your relationships to self, work, home, family, friends, and so much more. You will move deeper into your own authenticity, function with more skill and awareness, and ultimately, reach toward the highest and truest expression of yourself.

What would it feel like to lead a life of fulfillment and joy? This is your birthright, and this work will help you experience that.

The Align Program will meet one Saturday per month for nine months. We begin with 75 minutes of yoga asana followed by 90 min of guided instruction and discussion. Between sessions, you are encouraged to connect in our private Facebook group, where you will receive weekly check-ins, guide questions, videos, meditations, and journal prompts to elicit self-observation and reflection, contemplations, and opportunities to connect.

*This is a 9-month guided program of deep self-study. In order to benefit from the rich discussion that happens when we gather in person, you are strongly encouraged to commit to attending each session, though not required. Due to the nature of this work, make-up sessions are not available.
