Class Descriptions

Yin Yoga
60 minutes
Yin yoga is designed to bring balance to the activities of life including your normal vinyasa practice.

The class allows for a slower pace, with long holds and juicy stretches intended to increase joint mobility and hydrate fascial webs. The class also provides time for you to draw your awareness inward and calm the mind. In yin, the magic happens when you fully relax and allow the pose to do the work.
Aluma Vinyasa
60 minutes
Aluma Vinyasa is our signature yoga class, combining breath-led movement with intentional sequencing to create a balanced, full-body practice. With expert instruction, alignment-based cueing, and carefully selected music, each class is designed to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, and focus.

Expect a moderate pace with opportunities to challenge yourself while honoring your body's needs. Options and modifications are offered throughout, making this class appropriate for all levels of experience.
Flow and Restore
60 minutes
A class that blends the best of both vinyasa and restorative practices. Class begins with our usual warms ups and sun salutations before moving you through a standing vinyasa flow. Then shifts all the way down into some longer held, yin and restorative poses to calm and ease your mind, body, and soul.
Tone & Flow
45 minutes
Tone & Flow features fine toning and muscle building movements coupled with bursts of cardio to help you feel lean and strong. Class ends with a yoga cool down and stretch to lengthen your muscles and soothe your mind.

Come prepared to sweat with athletic shoes and water.

Light weights are provided and low impact modifications will be offered.
Easy Flow
60 minutes
Easy Flow offers a moderate, well-rounded sequence of movements focused on spinal movement, core engagement, balance work, and hip stretches to support overall joint mobility, flexibility, and stability. Linda, trained in several therapeutic techniques including Yoga for Traumatic Brain Injury, listens to students and observes them in order to create a supportive environment designed around the needs of each individual.

Accommodations and modifications are always offered.
Slow Flow & Yin
60 minutes
The first half of class focuses on a slow, intelligently sequenced flow building gentle heat, improving mobility, and strengthening through controlled transitions. The pace is steady and grounded, allowing space to refine alignment and connect breath to movement.

In the second half, we shift into yin. Postures are held for several minutes at a time, placing mild, sustained stress on the joints and connective tissues rather than the muscles. This supports fascial hydration, joint integrity, and long-term mobility. Yin also stimulates circulation in areas that don’t receive as much load during dynamic movement, particularly the hips, spine, and lower body.

Beyond the physical benefits, longer holds encourage nervous system down-regulation. The stillness creates space for breath awareness, emotional processing, and quiet integration. It is a deliberate contrast to effort, not collapse, but conscious release.

All levels are welcome. Modifications are offered.
Pilates
45 minutes
Aluma's Pilates Method is a refined, intentional approach to movement, blending classical Pilates principles with the grace of dance and the mindfulness of yoga. This method focuses on the full body, toning long, lean muscles and building deep core strength to support your balance, posture and boost your confidence, all while deepening the mind-body connection.
