The Align Program

by Aluma

Deepening your study of yoga to reach toward the highest and truest expression of yourself.

Have you heard teachers say, "Take yoga off the mat," and wonder what that really means?

Have you been practicing for awhile and know there is more to this thing called "yoga?"

Do you want to learn more about the philosophy of yoga but don't know where to begin?

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, a collection of ancient yogic texts, outlines yoga as an 8-
limbed path meant to bring the practitioner into a state of joy and connection to one’s
soul. The physical practice we do on our mats is actually the 3 rd limb of yoga.

1 st limb, The Yamas – social restraints, moral disciplines or vows
2 nd limb, The Niyamas – self-disciplines, positive duties or observances
3 rd limb, Asana - physical postures
(remember, there are 8 limbs in total…)

Through our exploration of the first 2 limbs of yoga, Aluma’s Align Program will provide
you with tools, discussion, and real-life applications to heal and transform your life. You
will be able to apply this new insight immediately and evolve in your relationships to self,
work, home, family, friends, and so much more. We will break down these ethical
practices, one by one, to fully immerse ourselves in self-study, so that you can move
deeper into you own authenticity, function with more skill and awareness, and
ultimately, reach toward the highest and truest expression of yourself.

What would it feel like to lead a life of fulfillment and joy? This is your birthright, and this work will help you experience the fulfillment joy you are so missing.

The Align Program will meet one Saturday per month for 9 months in conjunction with
our 200 Hour Teacher Training. We begin with 75 min of yoga asana followed by 90 min
of guided instruction and discussion. Between sessions, you are encouraged to
connect in our private Facebook group where you will receive weekly check-ins, guide
questions and journal prompts to elicit self-observation and reflection, contemplations,
quotes, meditations, videos and opportunities to connect.
