
Emily Couto has been practicing yoga for a decade and became a registered yoga teacher at the 200 hour level in 2013. She came to the practice with a love of movement, but little inner awareness. Through the years she has gained a deep understanding of body and energetic awareness, alignment, and action. In teaching, Emily aims to anchor her students into their bodies and their breath in order to more fully experience all that the moment has to offer them. Every moment is an opportunity for growth, whether it be into a new shape or a deeper breath. She also firmly believes that ANYONE can do yoga, whether or not you can even touch your toes! In her classes you will be directed, breath by breath, through intelligent sequencing meant to challenge, awaken, and ultimately soothe you into a state of simply being, without judgement or expectation.
